Gynecology and Obstetrics
Gynecology is the branch of medical science concerned with the female reproductive system. Gynecology is the field that primarily deals with non-pregnant women and their hormonal, urinary tract, uterus and vagina related problems. This branch deals with both surgical and medical means.
Menstrual Disorders
Menstrual disorders are problems with a woman's menstrual cycle and are often caused by hormonal changes. Menstrual disorders can occur in a variety of ways, such as irregular menstrual bleeding, too much or too little menstrual bleeding, and excessively painful or uncomfortable menstrual periods.
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrine disorders related to women's reproductive health. PCOS is caused by an imbalance of naturally produced hormones in women and often causes abnormalities in the menstrual cycle, polycystic ovaries (small cysts in the ovaries), infertility, and other health problems.
Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue called the endometrium grows in the tissues outside the uterus. The endometrium is the tissue that covers the inner lining of the uterus and is shed each month during menstruation. Endometriosis occurs when endometrial tissue grows outside of the uterus (abdominal cavity, ovaries, intestines, bladder, etc.).
Infertility
Infertility is the inability of a couple to get pregnant during regular sexual intercourse. Generally, infertility is diagnosed when a couple is unable to get pregnant despite having regular sexual intercourse for a year. Infertility can happen in men, women, or both sexes.
Uterine cancer
Uterine cancer is a type of cancer that occurs as a result of cancerous cells in the uterus (uterus). Uterine cancer usually occurs in postmenopausal women, but it can also rarely occur in younger women.
Cyst operations
Cyst operations are the surgical removal of cysts formed in the ovaries or other internal organs. Cysts are not usually cancerous, but when they become large or cause symptoms, they may require surgical intervention.
