Internal Medicine

Internal medicine, as a branch of medicine, is a branch of medicine that examines internal diseases, infections, metabolic disorders, hormonal disorders, immune system diseases, blood diseases and other internal organ systems related disorders. Internists are usually responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases in adults. Internists evaluate symptoms, diagnose and create appropriate treatment plans. Internal medicine is one of the most comprehensive specialties in the field of medicine and has many different sub-branches.

Respiratory System Diseases

Diseases of the respiratory system are ailments caused by infections, inflammation, obstruction or damage of the respiratory system (lungs, bronchi, nose, throat and diaphragm). Diseases of the respiratory system include various conditions such as asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), bronchitis, pneumonia (pneumonia), lung cancer, and sleep apnea.

Diabetes (diabetes)

Diabetes (diabetes) is a disease in which the body's blood sugar level is higher than normal levels. Diabetes occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot use insulin effectively enough.

Thyroid Diseases

Thyroid diseases are disorders that occur due to an imbalance of hormones produced by the thyroid gland or abnormalities in its production. The thyroid gland is a small gland located in the lower part of the neck and produces hormones that control metabolism in the body.

It can cause serious complications such as hypertension, heart attack, stroke, kidney disease and other health problems. Hypertension usually does not occur with symptoms and progresses insidiously. Therefore, it is important to have blood pressure checked regularly.

Cirrhosis is a condition in which the liver is severely damaged. The liver is an important organ that helps remove and digest toxins in the body. Cirrhosis slows the function of the liver, causing toxins to build up and disperse in the bloodstream.

Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver. This inflammation can be caused by viruses, alcohol, drugs, or other causes. Hepatitis viruses are divided into five different types: A, B, C, D and E. Each type has different symptoms, severity, and treatment.
